Your Health Your Way
Nottinghamshire’s new Integrated Wellbeing Service funded by Nottinghamshire County Council.
‘Your Health Your Way’ is a free service available to support residents of Nottinghamshire (excluding Nottingham City) to get support to quit smoking, get more active, eat healthier, lose weight, drink less alcohol.

Antenatal Clinics
Antenatal clinics are held on a Friday from 9.00am - 4.00pm. Patients are seen by the midwife at the clinics by appointment. Once you find out that you are pregnant, your first appointment will be on a Wednesday between 9.00am - 12.00pm.
Postnatal Checks & Baby's Vaccinations
Postnatal checks are done when the baby is 8 weeks old, in line with your baby's first vaccinations. Appointments are sent through the post.
Subsequent child development checks and immunisations given by the practice nurse contact the surgery for an appointment. These checks also allow an opportunity to discuss other problems eg sleeping, feeding, and child health worries.

Asthma Clinic
Asthma checks are by appointment only with the practice nurse, please contact the practice to make an appointment.
COPD Clinic
COPD appointments are by appointment only with Brian Rorison the COPD nurse, please contact the practice to make an appointment.
Diabetic Checks
Diabetic checks are by appointment only with the practice nurse, please contact the practice to make an appointment.
Please note blood tests may be required a week before your appointment.
Family Planning
Pre-conception and contraceptive care is provided by all doctors and practice nurses during normal surgery hours.
Heart Checks
Heart checks for the over-40's are available. Please contact the practice to make an appointment.
Minor Surgery
Minor surgery clinics are held by Dr Aghel on Tuesday afternoons, please book an appointment with Dr Aghel.
Non NHS Examinations
The doctors are happy to carry out medicals, eg insurance and driving licence, by appointment outside of surgery hours. Please telephone the surgery for an appointment. The fees charged for these services are in line with the BMA recommended charges.
Counsellor
A counsellor is available Monday and Friday. Please ask your doctor to refer you for an appointment.
Patients 75 years and over
If you are 75 years of age or over, you should be seen annually, either by your doctor, the practice nurse or the district nurse. This can be arranged at the surgery or, if that is not possible, a home visit will be arranged.
Travel Vaccination and Advice
Our practice nurses are available to offer you medical advice regarding travel and vaccinations where appropriate. Do plan ahead and make an appointment preferably 12 weeks before travel. Please note: Yellow fever immunisation has to be done at a designated centre.
Flu Vaccination
We recommend that anyone with heart or chest trouble or diabetes, and everyone over the age of 65 should have a vaccination every autumn to prevent Flu. Watch for our posters in the surgery waiting room.
Pneumococcal vaccination
Pneumococcal vaccination helps prevent pneumonia in vulnerable groups and in most cases lasts for life.
Shingles Vaccination
If you are over 70 you may be eligible for a Shingles vaccination, click here for details of eligibility. Please ask at the surgery.
Ear Clinic
Clinics are held each month. Please ask reception for more information. Please note that olive oil must be inserted in advance of your appointment.
Cervical Screening
If you have not had a cervical smear test in the last 3 years we would urge you to make an appointment, at your convenience, with our practice nurse.
Breast Screening
Invitations will sent to you when you become eligible. It is important that you attend these screenings.
Chronic Disease Management & stroke and Hypertension Checks
Review appointments for these conditions are held each year in the month of your birthday. Please contact the surgery if you have not received your letter with notification of the appointment.

By Referral to Nottinghamshire’s ‘ChangePoint’ Obesity Prevention & Weight Management Services.
